Accessibility statement

Standard targeted

College Money Paths targets conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This statement describes what has actually been tested, not a general conformance claim beyond that evidence.

What has been tested

• Automated axe-core scans across every core journey and interactive state — the waitlist form, sign-in, every onboarding step (including validation errors and the reset-draft dialog), the dashboard (including edits and the stale-plan banner), the dashboard-concept charts, and the coach (suggested prompts, free-text warnings, and proposed changes).
• Automated keyboard-only completion checks: key interactions across five core journeys performed using only Tab, Space, and Enter — never a simulated click — plus a keyboard-trap sanity check across the main application navigation.
• A systematic prefers-reduced-motion audit of every animated element in the interface, verified with a dedicated automated test project rather than spot checks.
• Manual review of the rendered accessibility tree for constructs automated scanning cannot validate on its own, including custom chart accessible-name handling and live-region semantics.

Known limitation

No session with a real screen reader (VoiceOver, NVDA, or JAWS) has been run against this application. This is the largest gap between the automated and code-review testing described above and verified accessibility for an actual screen-reader user, and it is stated here rather than implied to be covered. A real screen-reader session is planned before any production launch.
